Sam Vore

Worship Leader

Sam joined the Victory staff in 2011 as the Worship Leader and assistant to the Lead Pastor. Prior to being invited to the Victory team, he served as the Youth Pastor at Umatilla Baptist Church for five years. He holds a BA in Music and a BA in Theatre Arts in addition to completing Convergence; a three year vocational training program for pastors.

When he is not at the church, or his full time day job, Sam likes to target shoot and tend to his small flock of chickens. Sam was drawn to Victory by the strong sense of genuine care and friendship he found when visiting the church. He invites everyone to check out the Victory difference for themselves.

Tricia Wattenburger

Children's Ministry Coordinator

I am the mother to three young children (Micah, Audrey and Camille), and wife of David. As a follower of Jesus, I know that it is important to be grounded in the Word – to soak in the Lord’s truth and share it with others. One of my favorite verses is Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” I love this verse because it reminds me that I should be living out my faith boldly – willing to love others and share about Jesus, no matter what.

I am really thankful for the opportunity to serve as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator. I want my own kids and all those in our children’s ministries to know that they are loved, that Jesus died for them, and that living a life for Jesus is the best kind of life!

Diane Brown

Women's Ministry Coordinator

Diane accepted Christ at the age of seven and had the privilege of being raised in a strong Bible teaching church. For many years she assisted her husband in pastoring and in marital and group counseling. She has taught women's Bible studies for over 25 years. She joined the Victory family in 2012.

Diane is a registered nurse, is currently employed at Good Shepherd as a diabetes educator and plans to retire in December 2016. She is a graduate of Biola University, holds an M.Ed from the University of Portland and has been a student at Western Seminary. After moving to Hermiston in 1999, she was caregiver first for her parents and later her husband until their passing.

"I was attracted to Victory because of its commitment to the expository preaching/teaching of God's Word. I am deeply committed to Christ's church as God's primary instrument for the nurturing of believers and for bringing the Gospel to a lost world."
